My Story

I created Butterwhip because I needed it.

I’m a California girl living in Texas—and a busy mom of three who knows what it feels like to give endlessly while quietly putting herself last to get her family ahead.

Like so many women, I was juggling life, family, and responsibilities, pouring from a cup that was often empty. Self-care felt like a luxury I didn’t have time for. Days turned into years, and I began to notice the changes—my skin felt different, my energy was fading, and the neglect I’d normalized was becoming impossible to ignore.

I knew something had to change. I didn’t start with a grand plan—I started small. I chose to care for my skin. I began crafting my own soaps and body butters, using intentional ingredients and treating the process as a quiet act of healing. Slowly, my skin responded.

And so did I. Encouraged, I decided to share what I’d made. I bottled my creations and signed up for my first event—nervous, unsure, and hopeful. I nearly sold out. That moment changed everything. I realized I hadn’t just made skincare—I had created something women were craving: permission to slow down, to feel beautiful, and to reconnect with themselves without guilt. And so, Butterwhip was born.
